10k Training



Our 10K Training Group is an 8-week progressive program that will have options for both beginners (run/walk) and seasoned runners. 

An informational night is scheduled for July 24th at 6:15 p.m. in the Fleet Feet store at 1303 N. Washington Ave. Training begins August 5th, 2014.

10k Training is an 8-week run/walk program to progress beginners as well as intermediate runners to successfully complete a 10K race such as The Happy Girl 10k or the Valleyfest 10k For A Cause. Mid-week group workouts will consist of speed training, hill repeats, tempo runs and other pace conditioning workouts.  Saturdays group workout will focus on weekly mileage increase to prepare you for the 10k distance.

WHEN: Weekly training runs will be Tuesdays at 5:30pm on and Saturdays 8:30am.

WHERE: The group meets at Fleet Feet Sports Spokane at 1303 N. Washington Ave.

PROGRAM COST: $75+tax before 7/29, $85.00+ tax After (Race entry is not included)

10k Training participants will receive:

**An 8-week training program and calendar with workouts provided

**Coach-guided weekly training sessions

**Access to coaches/mentors via email during the week

**Technical apparel, including a tech tee.

**Informational clinics on proper footwear, injury prevention, nutrition, running form, and more

**Dedicated support from your coach/mentor to answer individual questions

**The camaraderie of others with the same goal!
